Troubleshooting issues with the Chrome Extension

Learn how to troubleshoot common issues with the Interseller Chrome Extension.

Chrome extensions can be hard to maintain especially when websites change constantly and sometimes extensions don't play nice with each other. Please try the steps below to help resolve any issues. If you need further assistance, please reach out to our Support team.

Restart your browser

Restarting your browser may help with some issues between websites and Chrome. A good restart can help clears things up!

Reinstall the Chrome extension

Your browser may not have updated our Chrome extension properly so you can try reinstalling the extension by following the steps below:

  1. Go to manage your extensions here: chrome://extensions
  2. Find the Interseller extension and click Remove.
  3. Go to the Chrome Extension store and reinstall Interseller here by clicking Add to Chrome.

Make sure you're logged into Interseller

Sometimes logging out and back into Interseller will also resolve issues with the Chrome extension.

Do you have an active seat on your team?

Users are required to have an assigned active seat on a team in order to source contacts with the Chrome Extension. If you're not seeing the option to use email lookups or are having issues with the extension, you may not have a seat on your team to do so.

You can check your Team page to confirm with a checkmark next to your name. If you don't have a seat assigned to you, you can ask the account owner to add a seat for you.

Did you install a new Chrome extension recently?

If so, sometimes extensions don't play nice with ours and it tends to interfere with what we do.

Go to your extensions by visiting chrome://extensions and disable the extensions that you installed recently.

Afterwards, give your browser a good hard refresh and see if that works.

Does the Chrome extension show you constantly logged out?

Our extension requires that you have third-party cookies enabled in order to work. This allows us to communicate with our servers while browsing other websites.

To check if its enabled or disabled, visit chrome://settings/content/cookies and make sure "Block third-party cookies" is turned OFF

Pin the extension

If you're not seeing the Interseller button in your browser's toolbar, you may need to pin the extension so you can access it at all times.

Follow these steps to pin the extension:

  1. Click the puzzle icon in your browser's toolbar.
  2. Find the Interseller extension and click the pin icon
  3. You will now see the Interseller bear icon in the menu.

Diagnosing the problem

If the solutions above don't help, give your browser a good restart and see what happens. If that doesn't work, you'll need to give us some diagnostic information in order for us to figure out what's going on:

  1. Have the Interseller Chrome extension open
  2. Right click anywhere in the Chrome extension window, click on "Inspect Element"
  3. When the the section appears, click on "Console"
  4. Take a screenshot (preferred) or copy/paste the information in that window
