Important Chrome Extension Update
In this guide:
What's changing?
We would like to inform you of an upcoming update to the Interseller Chrome extension beginning January 8, 2024.
In order to comply with LinkedIn's terms and conditions, we are updating our Chrome extension so that it will no longer scrape data from user profiles.
Instead, you will be able to use the extension to perform email lookups in the following ways:
- Download resume PDF: When viewing an individual public LinkedIn profile, users will select the option to save the contact's resume. This will automatically open the Chrome extension and parse the resume PDF and perform a single email lookup.
- Export a CSV: When viewing LinkedIn Recruiter in the project stage, select the contacts and click the option to export a CSV. This will automatically open the Chrome extension and parse the CSV file and perform bulk email lookups.
Check out this help guide to learn the new email lookup workflow.
Please note: Bulk lookups will no longer be available for LinkedIn Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite users.
Why is this changing?
We understand that this is a change to the previously supported workflows; however, this change is important to ensure we are not violating LinkedIn's terms of use around data scraping.
LinkedIn can take action against users who use tools that violate their data scraping policies, up to and including interrupting account access and banning individual accounts from the platform.
